He served in the Black Sea Fleet. Commander of the 14-gun schooner "Sevastopol" (1825-1828); in 1825 and 1826 he held a guard post in Sukhum-Kala, in 1827 he cruised off the Caucasian coast, then took the pontoons from Nikolaev to Kiliya. He participated in the Russian-Turkish War of 1828-1829: 04/21/1828, as part of the squadron of Vice-Admiral A.S. Greig, left Sevastopol and on 05/02/1828 arrived at Anapa. 05/06/1828, together with the ships of the squadron, covered with fire the landing of Russian troops on the coast near Anapa,and on May 24, 1828, she left for Sevastopol. In 07-08.1828 he operated near Kovarna and Varna, then returned to Sevastopol. Commander of the 14-gun brigantine "Elizabeth" (1829-1830); in 1829 he left Sevastopol on a cruise to the area between Sinop and Batum, in 1830 he held a guard post in Burgas. Commander of the 22-gun brig "Pegasus" (08.1830-1833); 07/08/1830, as part of the detachment of Lieutenant-Commander S.A. Sterlengov, participated in the landing in Gagra. On 13-18.08.1830, with artillery fire, he assisted the troops in repelling the attacks of the mountaineers on Gagra. 07/23/1831, as part of the detachment of Captain 2nd Rank G.I. Nemtinov, came with a landing from Anapa to Gelendzhik Bay. On 25-27.07, the ships of the detachment fired at the fortifications of the mountaineers, after which they landed a landing. "Pegasus" took part in the expedition to the Bosphorus in 1833. 02/02/1833, as part of the squadron of Rear Admiral M.P. Lazarev, he left Sevastopol and 02/08/1833 arrived in Buyuk-dere. From 27.03-02.04.1833 went out to the Black Sea to meet transports coming from Odessa, at 05.1833 cruised at the entrance to the Bosphorus. 06/28/1833 squadron of M.P. Lazareva left Buyuk-dere and, having landed troops in Feodosia, on July 22, 1833, returned to Sevastopol. In 1834, with the rank of Lieutenant-Commander, he was awarded the Order of St. George of the 4th class "For impeccable length of service, in officer ranks, 18 six-month naval campaigns." The commander of the 60-gun frigate "Varna" (1835-1837), was annually on practical voyages in the Black Sea.
